  2. Economic depression will cause massive bitcoin sale offs, most people will be happy to get rid of bitcoin at higher price than they bought. The price will drop a lot, and then even further when people don't have money to buy food, they will keep on selling bitcoin.

  3. hardware wallet is throwing into garbage bin open source notion of bitcoin and trusting third party. in a device meant for bitcoin. that begging to put backdoor in so big newest intel chips will get jelous.

  4. We're at a tentative moment. The markets are only just realising that the economic fallout from lockdown is not over, and that the pandemic is far from over. The initial stimulus provided much needed liquidity and eased fears, but the money is running out and the fundamentals are still disastrous. While M2 has increased, M2V is paltry. Despite what Bitcoin and other crypto's hope to be, cash is still king in periods of uncertainty like this because almost nowhere is safe. If the markets plummet and an insolvency crisis ensues then you can bet that many of the non hodlers will fly to cash for a number of reasons:

    1) They may have lost their job and now need to prioritise bills
    2) They may see other opportunities as more attractive in the short/medium term
    3) They may be nervous
    4) They may be expecting a massive sell off and looking to capitalise
    5) They have to reposition and adjust.

We're likely to see another crash in crypto aligned with the stock market, if central banks get ahead of the issue and print even more trillions we may not see it, but the fundamentals will remain the same. In the end crypto will win as the continued debasement of FIAT has now been put on steroids cubed.

  5. Anyone here have a bookshelf with some books stored on it? Pick one of the books, and write your private keys (recovery seed, whatever) on various pages in the margins. The chances of anyone finding that book and figuring out what the words written in the margins mean is effectively zero. Worried that your house will burn down? Do the same thing with a book stored in your office, shed, etc. PS, Don't tell anyone.

  6. Check out BC Vault. It's already been put for awhile and does most of that stuff except doesn't do light and fingerprint. They do however have sd backups instead of huge graphine sheets you need to punch out
